An iPhone application to control your Volvo remotely using your iPhone.

News: The iPhone puzzle game Immortal Monkey Puzzle is now available on the App Store. A new version of Remote Car has also been sent to Apple for review you can preview it here until it has been accepted.

There are two timers that easily can be set under the Timer 1 and Timer 2 tab.

If not Remote Car can help you find your way back to your parked car. Simply drop a pin when you have parked and open up the app again when you need to get back to your car.

Send correct formatted SMS with the least amount of effort. You don’t have to type a character the application does the work for you.

The checkbox is used to indicate if a timer is currently active. A checked box indicates that the heater will start on the given time.

(Requires that Remote Car has been used when the command was sent)

Keep track of active timers

All features offered by Volvo on Call (e.g. Remote Unlocking) can’t be controlled by SMS yet. To use these features simply press Call: Volvo on Call to be connected to an operator.

Use more features of Volvo on Call

Since Remote Car is depends on sending SMS and making calls this application won’t work on either the iPod Touch or the iPad.

To be able to use this application with your Volvo you have to have a valid Volvo on Call subscription. For more information about Volvo on Call visit their website or contact your local Volvo dealer.

With Remote Car you can easily use all the features supported by Volvo on Call. To control your heater you only need to press the corresponding button.

I have only found one number to send SMS to Volvo on Call which is a swedish phone number. If anyone knows if there are different phone numbers to send SMS please contact me so that I can update this resource as well as the Remote Car app.

Before you can use this applications to control your car you have to enter the correct information in the settings tab.

Save your settings

There are often different numbers to the Volvo on Call Call Center depending on if you are at home or abroad. It is easy to switch simply locate your country and press the corresponding button.
